Can we board at different stop rather than at stop booked as per ticket. Was asking because due to covid 19 protocols.

You need to change the boarding station online before 24 hours of the scheduled departure of the train.** In case a passenger has changed the boarding point he will lose all the rights to board the train from the original boarding point.
You can change the boarding point by following these steps:

Login to your IRCTC Account and after that click on “Booking Ticket History(New)”.
You will be redirected to booked tickets page. Select the ticket for which you want to change the boarding.
Now click on “Change Boarding Point” and select the station from which you want to board the train.

@Niketa thank u for ur reply. Actually the problem was ticket was booked for 2 persons from one boarding point. But another person need to board at different station. So now there is no chance to change the boarding point :unamused:. If changed it would be applicable to both persons I guess.
